Privacy Policy
1. Privacy at a glance
General information. The following notes give a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified.
Data collection on this website. The data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator, whose contact details can be found in the Legal Notice. Your data is collected in two ways: data you provide to us yourself, for example by email or by entering your email address in the sign-up form, and technical data collected automatically by our IT systems when you visit the website (for example browser type, operating system or time of access). Some of this data is collected to ensure the website works without errors.
2. Hosting
We host the content of this website with Squarespace. The provider is Squarespace Ireland Limited, Le Pole House, Ship Street Great, Dublin 8, D08 A9RT, Ireland ("Squarespace"). When you visit this website, Squarespace collects various log files including your IP address. Details can be found in the Squarespace privacy policy: https://www.squarespace.com/privacy. Squarespace is used on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; we have a legitimate interest in a reliable and secure presentation of our website. Data transfers to the USA are based on the standard contractual clauses of the European Commission. We have concluded a data processing agreement with Squarespace as required by data protection law.
3. General information and mandatory information
Data protection. The operator of this website takes the protection of your personal data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and in accordance with the statutory data protection regulations and this privacy policy. Please note that data transmission on the internet (for example when communicating by email) can have security gaps; complete protection of data against access by third parties is not possible.
Controller. The controller responsible for data processing on this website is: Jörg Böttcher, Schulzestraße 17, 13187 Berlin, Germany, email: joerg@hypnose-audios.com.
Withdrawal of your consent. Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can withdraw consent you have already given at any time; an informal email to us is sufficient.
Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In the event of violations of the GDPR, data subjects have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged violation.
Right to data portability. You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in performance of a contract handed over to you or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format.
Access, rectification and erasure. Within the framework of the applicable statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing, and, where applicable, a right to rectification or erasure of this data.
SSL or TLS encryption. For security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, this website uses SSL or TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by the "https://" in the address line of your browser and the lock symbol.
4. Data collection on this website
Server log files. The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in server log files which your browser transmits automatically: browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request and IP address. This data is not merged with other data sources. It is collected on the basis of Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR; the website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and optimisation of the website.
Enquiries by email. If you contact us by email, your enquiry including all personal data resulting from it (name, enquiry) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of handling your request. We do not pass this data on without your consent. The processing is based on Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, and otherwise on our legitimate interest in handling enquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Cookies and analytics. This website does not use analytics or tracking tools and sets no cookies of its own beyond those technically necessary for the operation of the website by Squarespace.
5. Purchase of the audio programme (Digistore24)
The audio programme offered on this website is sold via Digistore24 GmbH, St.-Godehard-Straße 32, 31139 Hildesheim, Germany ("Digistore24"). Digistore24 acts as reseller: when you click a purchase button you are taken to the Digistore24 order process, and your contract partner for the purchase is Digistore24 GmbH. The data collected during the order process (for example name, email address, order and payment data) is processed by Digistore24 under its own responsibility for the performance of the contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Digistore24 provides me with the data I need to deliver the product and to handle customer enquiries. Details can be found in the Digistore24 privacy policy: https://www.digistore24.com/page/privacy. Payment is processed by payment service providers (for example credit card companies or PayPal) which process your payment data partly under their own responsibility; their privacy notices apply in addition.
Audio samples embedded on this website are provided via the Squarespace audio player (see section 2, Hosting).
6. Free audio and email notes (MailerLite)
On this website you can request a free hypnosis audio by entering your email address in a form. For sending the emails I use the service MailerLite, provided by UAB "MailerLite", Paupio g. 46, LT-11341 Vilnius, Lithuania. MailerLite processes the data on my behalf within the European Union. A data processing agreement in accordance with Art. 28 GDPR is in place.
Procedure (double opt-in): After signing up you receive an email with a confirmation link. Only when you click this link is your address added and the audio sent to you. This ensures that nobody can sign up with someone else's address. Your email address, the time of sign-up and confirmation and the IP address used are stored so that consent can be proven.
What you receive afterwards: the link to the requested audio and, over the following weeks, a small number of emails with notes on using the audio and on the second part of the programme. This is not a regular newsletter.
Legal basis: your consent, Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR. Signing up is voluntary. I draw no conclusions about your state of health from the sign-up and do not evaluate the data by topic or complaint.
Withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent at any time, most easily via the unsubscribe link contained in every email, or by email to joerg@hypnose-audios.com. After withdrawal your address is removed from the list. You may keep the audio you have already received.
Evaluation: MailerLite records whether an email was opened and whether a link in it was clicked. This evaluation serves to improve the content and ends with the withdrawal of consent.
Technical note on the form: The sign-up form is loaded from MailerLite servers, which means your IP address is transmitted to MailerLite. The form stores a random identifier in your browser's local storage (not a cookie) which serves only the technical function of the form and does not allow tracking across other websites.
Storage period: until consent is withdrawn. The records proving consent are kept after withdrawal for as long as is necessary to meet the obligation to provide proof.
